We help young learners ask better questions

WonderWY is a homeschool co-op for children roughly 4 to 10. Shared classes, hands-on enrichment and real time with other families, so you are not carrying the whole week on your own.

  • Parent-led rotations
  • Drop-in passes
  • Seasonal workshops

Programs built around the things children already wonder about

What did your child ask you this morning?

Full-time co-op membership

Weekly, multi-day enrolment for one child: shared classes, enrichment activities and the parent-led rotations that hold the week together. This is the option for families who want a dependable rhythm and a group their child knows by name.

Drop-in class pass

A single session or a punch card for one class at a time. Good for families who are still deciding, new to homeschooling, or who only want to add one thing to a week that is already full.

Enrichment workshops

Short seasonal workshops in art, science, nature study and music, led by parent volunteers and hired instructors. Open to members and to families who have never been to a session before.

Parent volunteer program

Teach a class or assist in the rotation and pay a reduced membership fee. You bring what you already know — sourdough, birds, fractions, ukulele — and the rest of the week someone else takes a turn.

Sessions look more like investigation than instruction

Children arrive with questions already in their pockets. A session gives those questions somewhere to go: time, materials, a few other children who care about the same thing, and one adult who is genuinely paying attention.

Nobody is tested, ranked or moved along a track. Getting it wrong out loud is part of the work, and often the most useful part of the morning.

Getting started takes three short steps

No forms to print, no commitment before you have seen us in person.

  1. 1

    Send us a note

Tell us your child's age and what they are curious about at the moment. A couple of sentences is plenty.

  2. 2

    We talk about your learner

A short conversation, in person or by phone: how your homeschool week runs now, what your child needs from a group, what you would like to teach or help with.

  3. 3

    Book a first session

Your child joins a class that suits them and you stay if you would like to watch. Afterwards you decide whether to drop in again or join as a member.

Questions families ask before they enrol

What does a session actually look like?

It opens with a question, spends most of its time on something hands-on, and ends with the children explaining what they found to each other. Expect mess, conversation and a lot of movement rather than desks in rows.

How big are the groups?

Small enough that every child is spoken to by name and no one hides at the back. Group size changes with the cohort and the class, so ask us about the one you are considering and we will tell you exactly who is in it.

Do we have to commit to a full membership?

No. Most families start with a drop-in pass or a seasonal workshop and move to full membership when they know it fits. Trying one class first is normal here, not an exception.

Do parents have to teach?

Enrolled parents share a rotation: some teach, some assist, some handle the setting up and clearing away. Parents who take a teaching turn pay a reduced fee, and some classes are led by hired instructors instead.

How will I know what my child is learning?

There are no tests and no grades. You will hear what your child worked on, what they got stuck on and what they were still talking about at the end, so you can pick the thread up at home.

Tell us what your learner is curious about

Send a few sentences about your child and we will suggest a first session that suits them.

No commitment, and you are welcome to stay and watch.
